Bases of Machine Tools Made of UHPC
Machine beds of machine tools make use of the extraordinary damping characteristic of the material. The pure mineral, non-combustible UHPC-mix can be casted into many forms. Embedded parts like steel rails, pipes or threaded sleeves are cast in. Flatness up to 0.1mm is possible out of the mould. For higher accuracy, the components are machined to highest precision by grinding the concrete or by milling the embedded steel plates. Manufacturing takes place in specialized production plants within Europe or China. The machine beds are designed object-specific and individually. The work includes mold construction, embedded parts, coating and precision machining.

UHPC as Basis for Automatisation
Handling units, bases for roboters, shelfes for tools, machines for presetting of tools, balancing machines, machines for grafic industry and a lot of other machine types make use of the cementitious mineral cast. The unreinforced high strength concrete can be cast in any desired form. Embedded steel parts, threaded sleeves, anchor rails, conduits, cable, and hydraulic lines are positioned in the formwork. The concrete can be dyed throughout, filled in, coated or glued. Cementitious mineral cast harden without the addition of energy. Solvents are not required and the concrete can be recycled without problems. The low energy that is needed and the low CO2 impact make for a more environmentally friendly production than is the case with steel and reaction resin or polymer concrete.

Test Frames and Rigs with UHPC Nanodur E80
Drives and transmissions for electromobility require test applications in which even excitations of up to 30,000 RPM do not generate vibrations that falsify the measurement results. Durcrete and Dyckerhoff have therefore developed a special mix-formulation for a UHPC with a Young´s modulus of 80,000 MPA. With the use of industrially produced special aggregates, a stiffness comparable to solid aluminum blocks can be achieved. The technical advantages are so convincing that many of these tables are even produced in relatively expensive one-off molds.

Welded Steel Structures Filled with Durfill
The casting compound durfill is the solution for your hybrid or sandwich constructions. Vibrations are damped and the natural frequencies selectively influenced when welded sheet steel or cast iron beds are filled with this self compacting casting compound. The processing can take place either in the welding shop or before precision machining. Durfill is delivered as a ready dry-mix in paper bags. After mixing it with water, it can be pumped into the component. The cement-bound mineral cast durfill can be processed as a Do-It-Yourself material by the customer. We also connect qualified manufacturing shops which produce the complete machine component including precision machining, coating and assembling.
